Studio Etiquette
-
Before Class:
Arrive Early: Aim to arrive 10-15 minutes before class starts to allow time to check in, settle down, and prepare. If another class is still in session or if the instructor is still preparing the space, we kindly ask that you quietly wait on the front porch until it is time to enter.
Find a cubby for your shoes: Please do not wear your shoes beyond the entrance of the studio. When you enter the studio, we have a seating area and cubbies available for you to place your shoes and other personal belongings. Please neatly place your shoes and personal items into a cubby before entering the practice area.
Turn Off Your Phone: Silence or turn off your phone to avoid distractions during class.
Wear Appropriate Attire: Dress in comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows for ease of movement.
Communicate Needs: If you have any injuries or special needs, inform the instructor before class starts.
-
During Class:
Respect Personal Space: Maintain a respectful distance from others on the mat.
Follow Instructor Guidance: Listen attentively to your instructor and follow their cues for safety and alignment.
Stay Present: Focus on your practice and minimize conversation. If you need to speak, do so quietly.
Avoid Strong Scents: Refrain from wearing strong perfumes or lotions that may be distracting to others.
-
After Class:
Leave Quietly: If you’re leaving early, do so quietly to avoid disturbing others.
Clean Your Space: Wipe down your mat and any props you used with provided cleaning supplies.
